🔗 Share this article The First Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed. Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to engage players with quality releases on its premier subscription. The Immediate Additions A pair of titles currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy. Major Titles on the Horizon On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of horror and action." Compelling Indie Titles But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game. The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly. Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to. A Well-Rounded Collection Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass. Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
