“This is a time for grieving,” said Interior Minister the Interior Minister, who mentioned that previous tries had been made to displace the three siblings in the past.

Background and Motive

The leader of the region of Veneto, the regional head, explained the residence was facing an removal notice due to financial obligations accrued by the property owners.

Negotiators had been sent to engage the brothers and sister who had secured themselves into the home. When the police arrived shortly after 03:00 (01:00 GMT), investigators believe one of the siblings triggered the blast.

“As we went inside, we encountered a completely deranged action,” provincial police commander Commander Papagno stated to news outlets.

A propane tank had been set off, and the explosion immediately struck our officers,” he explained.

Molotov cocktails were also located at the property, the minister stated.
