1. Key Talent Palmer Ready for Important Capital Derby with Arsenal

The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the team's vital Premier League fixture against London rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe suffered after an unfortunate incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca declared. “The whole team is delighted.”

This season, Palmer has made only four appearances in every contest, finding the net on two occasions.

Following his transfer from City in 2023, he has recorded 45 goals and 29 assists in 101 games for Chelsea.

“He is our most valuable asset, we are delighted he is back, we need to provide him with time to be 100% fit,” Maresca noted. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

2. The Toffees Get No Reason for Failed Gueye Dismissal Challenge

The Merseyside club have failed in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for a fight with teammate Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old Senegal player was sent off just early on into the contest after slapping Keane amid a dispute over a misplaced pass.

Gueye promptly expressed regret, and the pair appeared reconciled later in a light-hearted online video.

However, the appeal against the red card was turned down, and Gueye must complete a three-match suspension, making Everton short-staffed for their upcoming match against Newcastle.

“We lodged an appeal and it was unsuccessful,” coach the manager revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes added: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we progressed swiftly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Unfortunately, Wissa was injured while on national team service before he could make his debut for his new club.

“He is doing well, he trained with us for the first time on midweek, so I was very happy with how he looked,” Howe said. “This marked his debut in a competitive setting with the squad. Let’s see how he reacts today.”

The manager added: “There is a planned comeback timeline, but it’s likely best if I do not share it publicly. We wish to prevent any disappointment. Naturally, we want to include him as soon as possible.”

Additionally, the defender will be out of action for a four-week period with a hamstring issue.

4. Liverpool' Slump ‘Irrelevant’, Says West Ham Manager Nuno

The Hammers manager Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that Liverpool' dip in performance “should not be a focus” as his side gets ready to face the ailing top-flight title holders.

However, Nuno emphasized that there can be no complacency when the teams clash on Sunday at the their home ground.

West Ham will have available Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their return from injury.

5. Gibbs-White in Contention for Nottingham Forest against Brighton

Nottingham Forest's manager Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the team's at home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The English international missed the midweek Europa League match against Malmö due to a back injury.

“Hopefully it’s settling down,” Dyche commented as he prepared to face Fabian Hürzeler's team, who have taken a decent haul from their last three matches.

“It’s comparable to back pain, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or twist funny. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s settling down already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be okay for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring after the comfortable Europa League win, but Dyche indicated the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are likely to be unavailable.

6. Glasner: European Loss Won't Set Back Palace

The Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner believes that the disappointment of Thursday's European loss to the French side is a sign of how far the club has come in competing on multiple fronts.

The FA Cup holders took the lead at Stade de la Meinau through Tyrick Mitchell's opening period goal but were equalized against by the opposition manager's side, who climbed to second in the group standings.
