In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists slowed down my talk I doubt I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an excellent helper".

These exchanges were released on Wednesday together with over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets has been able to establish his identity by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and in the early days of his first administration, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We plan to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time before the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

On the day of his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit thing this day with Farage, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he added: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think remaining as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the people here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was finally removed in 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for the political party told media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter occurred.

The Congress will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his archives.

A portion of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently rejected any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
