The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The athlete was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

Joshua had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two dear friends.”
