Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down following standard procedures and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence is not the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to return to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
